A COLLECTION OF TESTIMONIALS
By
Lucian Damoc, Romania - My Experience with Plus Lens Glasses – A True Testimony About Vision Improvement – March 2011:
My name is Lucian. I am 29 years old (born in 1982). I am an engineer in Computer Science and live in Romania (South-Eastern Europe).

At the age of 19, during university, I was diagnosed with myopia and followed (as long as I could) the widely known and used treatment for this error of refraction: the wearing of minus-lens glasses. Over the years, my condition worsened more and more, until, at the age of 28, my vision and health were ruined. Because of the sufferings related to vision and the burnout syndrome, I had to quit my job and take a sabbatical year.
At the beginning of the sabbatical leave, I started a treatment with plus lens glasses in order to restore my vision. The treatment is under the supervision of Dr. Kaisu Viikari, a Finnish ophthalmologist, who has been using plus lens glasses since the 1970s and, thus, has cured thousands of patients of myopia and many other sufferings related to vision.
About the testimony
This article is the true testimony about my personal experience with minus lens glasses (the widely used, wrong treatment for myopia) and with plus lens glasses (the less used, right treatment for myopia).
This is not a scientific paper written by a medical authority. It is just the simple and true testimony of an ordinary person written for ordinary people who suffer because of myopia and minus lens glasses, that do not cure myopia – as the medical authorities and the majority opinion tell us – but make it worse.
The credibility that I have comes from my ten years long experience with myopia and glasses. Their effects on the human being can not be truly understood by studying or reading about them (theoretical knowledge), but by living with them (clinical knowledge).
The final purpose of this article is to help people prevent and cure myopia by telling the truth, giving hope and sharing knowledge and joy !
About the crime
The myopia that I refer to in this testimony is that type of myopia of which most people suffer from. This is a gained (provoked) myopia, that in most cases is reversible at least to some extent. For details about types of myopia, please read Dr. Kaisu Viikari’s writings.
Here is the testimony in detail and with images as a PDF.
*Kaisu Viikari has seen it to be necessary to add a comment here how this exceptionally big relaxing of accommodation, apparently, has been possible:
According to data given by Lucian for the year 2005, the worst mistake of the estimation in the stronger myopic eye has been in the prescribed glasses of the grade of 9,25D. In machine values, which are not to be taken into consideration, 11.25D.
Patient being 30 years old at present, no one knows how much there still is latent hyperopia.
I have not had the possibility to examine him in person with proper fogging.
The point of all of the above is to show to the world, how important and urgent it is to see the immeasurable suffering in the people world over, caused by the scientific community obstructing the truth from being revealed.
*Explanation to why such a large amount of accommodation spasm was relieved:
The patient's refraction has sled over the zero-point relatively late, the adding of minus values starting at the age of 19. This means that the most susceptible time for the eyeball to become axially stretched is already past. The minus values of the patient have been pseudomyopia (myopia of the lens), caused by the accommodation spasm of the ciliary muscle. (The spasm also causing the plethora of symptoms patient was suffering from.)
As a myope and a person who does continuous precise close work daily, it has been an interesting experience to switch from doing the near work with the distance minus glasses to ones with weaker minus values (well ahead of the presbyopia -age).
I received my first glasses at 13 years and by 32, I had lenses of -4.25 in the left, and -3.5 in the right eye.
At that point I obtained glasses with a -3.0 prescription (both eyes) for distance (with the lower part of the lens "empty") and -1,25 for close work. Reading I did without glasses.
Now I am able to do my occupation related close work either without glasses or with a -0.75 pair (the working distances can vary). I tend to read with +1, and use the computer with +0.50.
20/20 vision I achieve with -2.75 glasses, but usually I use -2.00 (with lower part empty) ones for distance.
Through this experience, my distance vision has improved somewhat and also the worsening of the myopia has stopped. It feels much "lighter" to use the glasses with distinctly weaker minus values for close work.
The recent fogging examination I took, implied that there still is quite a bit of accommodation spasm present. It took a couple of hours to achieve
indications of an approximate refraction value of -1.5 (estimated by extrapolation), with clues of further release of the spasm being possible. It taking such a long time to reveal the spasm, hints that the daily precise close work required by my occupation, probably slows the further release of it.
As I received my first glasses at a fairly young age, some irreversible elongation of the eyes has probably happened as well, so all of the myopia would not be relieved even in an ideal case.
It is quite revealing trying the old distance glasses for near work now. One realizes how much unnecessary accommodative strain there has been present, as trying near work through the old glasses feels truly stressing and one could say, painful.
It really brings home how using distance minus glasses continuously for close work strains the eye, worsens the myopia and can cause complications.
It is encouraging to know, that with relieving the accommodation spasm "well in advance", the possibility of future complications like retinal detachment is diminished.
